The definition of empathy is very close to sympathy. However, empathy is not just about understanding others' feeling; it is more about sharing their feelings and emotions as if they were your own. It is more about emotional resonance.
Where fire cast its light, humans could see, however dark;
Where it radiated heat, they could survive, however cold;
Where its flames danced, humans congregated, no matter alien and threatening the beyond.
Resonance makes humans congregated again, breaks the silence, vibrates your heart, and knows each other.
